How Many QuickBooks Licenses Do You Need?

Q: Are 3 licenses included in the 1 QuickBooks Pro purchase or does each license require a separate purchase?

I made it all the way to the cart and final order screen but the terms “Up to 3 users” (which is all we need) began to haunt me when I could not verify that the number of users included in ONE QB Pro. Does QB Pro 2011 have merely the ability to have up to three multiple users? Or does it truly include the 3 user access without having to purchase additional licenses?

A: QuickBooks Pro has the capacity for 3 simultaneous users. This means that 3 people can access the same file on different computers at the same time. When you purchase from the Intuit website, you will have a choice to purchase 1, 2 or 3 users. If you want to have access to the data file at the same time, you should purchase the 3 user license.
