Improving the speed and stability of our product continues to be a top priority for Intuit – so we’d like to update you on the progress we’ve made to date, and also tell you about additional improvements we’re working on.

With the July release of Enterprise Solutions 13.0 (R8), we’ve delivered another set of improvements to boost speed and stability, along with some new tools to help optimize your QuickBooks experience. If you haven’t already installed the July release (R8), we encourage you to install now to take advantage of these product changes.

You can read the detailed July release notes to find out how the R8 changes might be relevant for you. Here are the highlights:

• Improved performance. Customers with complex databases should see improved transaction save time. Switching from Single User to Multi User mode and running Verify in Multi User mode should be faster for many customers.
• Added performance tips. QuickBooks automatically monitors your computer’s performance levels, such as memory usage and hard drive space, and will now guide you on how to improve product speed and stability.
• This latest release also addresses the errors introduced in the previous release (R7).

We’ve seen that Enterprise Solutions customers on Windows 7 have reported a better overall product experience. If you’re on Windows XP, you may want to consider upgrading your operating system.
