Then You Have to Read about the New QuickBooks 2015 System Requirements
QuickBooks 2015 is OUT! On September 8, 2014 the new version was released to Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisors. Intuit will release the software to end users by the end of October 2014. A specific date is yet TBD.
If you are thinking of upgrading or purchasing the NEW QuickBooks 2015 version and you have been waiting for a reason to purchase a new computer, you should be aware that the NEW QuickBooks 2015 software is not supported by the Windows XP operating system. Additionally Microsoft has discontinued support for Windows XP. Find out more here.
Getting back to QuickBooks 2015! This morning, I decided to install my new QuickBooks Enterprise with Advanced Inventory. Surprisingly, it took me less than 10 minutes. I even had time to go to Starbucks and treat myself. Better yet, I was able to use the software immediately. That is what I call success!
Here are a few things you should keep in mind to make your installation process as quick, easy, and worry-free as mine:
- Make a backup of your current QuickBooks file
- Reboot your computer
- Disable all antivirus software before installation
After installation, enable all the anti-virus software and reboot your computer again. This will update all files, your registry, etc.
Now, I am off to drink my coffee and check out what changes are in store for the new version. I promise to keep you posted in next few weeks.
