Best QuickBooks to Integrate with a reservation system

Q: I am trying to find out which version of QuickBooks works best with Rental Property management (interfacing) or entering data from a fully functional reservation system. We are using LiveRez and I assume we’ll continue to let all of the detailed accounting exist there, and just use reports to enter summarized information into QuickBooks. Because we have multiple offices, the online version might be best.

A: Here is what I recommend:

Rental Properties with fixed monthly rent – Pro or Premier
Commercial Properties with CAM or rent escalation – Premier Accountant version

If you use QuickBooks Online – make sure they offer the sync to the online version of a reservation system. Or you can use QuickBooks Pro and host the QuickBooks software and data file. Give us a call if you need help with hosting.
