QuickBooks Preferences: Reminders Part 1

Preferences

QuickBooks Preferences has a lot of great features to help keep all of the tasks involved with bookkeeping for a business from slipping through the cracks. The Reminders window is one of the best ways to

help ensure that nothing is missed.

On the My Preferences tab, check the box titled “Show Reminders List when Opening a Company File” to get a list of reminders whenever you open a company file. If you choose to have this off, then you can always check the reminders by going to the company menu and then clicking reminders. The Company Preferences tab has a list of all the reminders and their options.

For each option, you can choose either Show Summary, which shows a one-line reminder, Show List, which shows a more detailed reminder, or Don’t Remind Me, which will take the option out of the reminders list. Check back tomorrow for a detailed list of each reminder you can use!
